Literature Circle ‘Picks’ for years 3-6.

Kristin from The Kids' Bookshop will offer her recommendations for Literature Circle books for students in years 3-6, special guest author, Nat Amoore will chat about her new middle-grade book and we're hoping YOU might share any titles that are working well for you with your Lit Circles programme.
Grab a cuppa (or glass of wine!) and join us for a fun and informative hour of books, books and more books.

 

4 30pm                Welcome and introductions.

4 35pm                Kristin to chat about her top ‘picks’ for Literature Circles for years 3-6. These will include ‘oldies but goodies’ as well as some brand new titles.

4.55pm                Over to you – we’d like you to bring along ONE title that you have had success with in your Lit Circle programme and would happily recommend to friends and colleagues at other schools

5 15pm                Guest Author – Nat Amoore. Nat will be our special guest for this event and will be chatting about her new book, The Power of Positive Pranking. This book is being published hot on the heels of the very successful, Secrets of a Schoolyard Millionaire. Nat is full of energy, great fun and is one of the most engaging authors we’ve met.

5 30pm                Close.

 

We’d like to keep the session to just 20 people (we’ll repeat it if necessary) so places are limited.

‘Hooked on Books’ – High interest books for readers who might be feeling disengaged with reading and stories.

Kristin from The Kids' Bookshop will offer her recommendations for books that might grab the attention of primary-aged readers who are feeling disengaged with books and reading.

Special guest author, Adrian Beck will be coming along to chat about his new series, Derek Dool, and we hope you'll bring along a recommendation or two of your own for books that are getting your readers 'hooked on books'.

4 30pm                Welcome and introductions.

4 35pm                Kristin to chat about her top ‘picks’ for engaging less than enthusiastic readers in middle-upper primary years. These will include ‘oldies but goodies’ as well as some brand new titles.

4.55pm                Over to you – we’d like you to bring along ONE title that you have had success with in your Lit Circle programme and would happily recommend to friends and colleagues at other schools
