Announcing a change to The Kids' Bookshop

Commencing June 1 2018 the primary focus of business for The Kids' Bookshop will be to service & support our existing and new school customers. 

We now offer new Schools a 20% discount on any opening order, and a 15% discount for any ongoing orders, or to existing schools.

Thank you to the many customers who have shopped with us from both here and overseas. We have shipped books to Florida, the Pilbara, Ireland and Christmas Island and it has been a great pleasure. 

But the time has come for us to streamline our business and the work that we are doing in schools - events, book fairs, library and classroom book supply -will be our focus going forward. We are looking forward to continuing our work with schools in Victoria and reaching out to those schools around Australia who also need literacy and literatures-based assistance.

The Kids’ Bookshop offers FREE shipping to School customers for purchases that total $100.00 or more and are being sent to a School address within Australia.

The cost of postage on orders under $100 within Australia, is $9.95

Please be sure you have checked your shipping address is correct, as your shipping address is sent  'as typed by you'  from the checkout screen to our printer. A tracking sticker is placed on all parcels for Australia Post’s standard parcel delivery service, which we can supply by email. Please contact us if you require this number to track your parcel via Australia Post's site.  Please understand that once the parcel is despatched via Australia Post your parcel is in the hands of Australia post hence the importance of providing correct details. The Kids' Bookshop will always consider any issues case-by-case of course.

Although every care is taken to ensure we send you the correct title in pristine condition, there will be times, when during the journey to you, the book may incur some degree of damage.
The Kids’ Bookshop will only accept returned items that are either damaged or have been incorrectly despatched.
The Kids’ Bookshop does not accept returned items for any other reason.

Where a refund is agreed between The Kids' Bookshop and our customer, a credit to the account or facility used in the original purchase transaction will be made, on receipt of the title to our shop via post/courier. The returned title should be received at our shop in it's original condition before a full refund can be issued.

When making your selection please consider:

  • Is it the correct title?
  • Is it the correct volume in the series?
  • Is it the correct format – hardback, paperback, board book, etc

If you are in doubt about what the recipient might like, please ask our store manager to help with your selection before you place your order.

within 14 days of purchase and marked to the attention of “The Store Manager – returned item”.



Please repackage the book(s) in the packaging it was sent to you in to ensure it arrives back to us safely in it's original condition. Please mark the package ‘return to sender’ and pop it into the post box rather than take it to a post office counter. This will mean it can be returned at no cost to you.

If the same book is not available, we will contact you to seek your advice on either:

  1. Waiting for the book to arrive into stock and being resent.
  2. Selecting an alternative book
